The Vishnu Charan Paduka is a truly exquisite work of art, masterfully carved onto the sacred Shaligram. Paduka, meaning the revered footprints of Hindu deities like Vishnu and Shiva, hold tremendous symbolic significance.
At the Charan Paduka stone, one can witness the awe-inspiring footprints believed to belong to Lord Vishnu himself. Legend has it that as the Lord descended from his celestial abode of Vaikunth to the mortal realm, his divine feet imprinted upon this very boulder, thus giving birth to this hallowed place known as Charan Paduka.
It is said that Lord Vishnu, in his infinite wisdom, advised both Devas and Asuraas to engage in the momentous task of Samudra Manthan, or the Churning of the Ocean, in order to extract precious and rare treasures. In this epic event, the divine couple Laxmi Narayan, accompanied by the goddess Laxmi, ascended to heaven. The goddess’s feet bore fifteen auspicious symbols, ushering prosperity and abundance into the heavenly realm.
